When you import an engine or a gearbox, the parts that connect them to the road often need to come across too. Subframes, axles, driveshafts, differentials and suspension assemblies from the same Japanese market vehicles are what this department is for.
This matters most on conversions. Putting an all wheel drive drivetrain into a car that was front wheel drive means you need the rear differential, the driveshaft, the rear subframe and the hubs, and they all have to come from a compatible donor. Buying them piecemeal from different sources is how projects stall.

What to confirm

Spline counts on axles and driveshafts, which vary between models that otherwise look the same.
Differential ratio, which has to match the gearing you are running or the car will drive badly.
Subframe mounting points against your chassis.
Whether your brake and hub setup carries over or needs changing at the same time.
