Engine and transmission together
A swap package is the engine and the matching transmission sold as one lot, pulled from the same vehicle. For anyone doing a full drivetrain replacement or a conversion, this is the cleanest way to buy.
The advantage is that the two units already worked together. The bellhousing matches, the gearing suits the engine, and you are not trying to reconcile an engine from one car with a gearbox from another. For a swap into a different chassis, it also means the loom, ECU and ancillaries on both halves came from the same donor.

What to check before you commit

Whether the package includes the ECU and loom, which matters enormously on a conversion. Look at the photographs and ask us if it is not clear.
Your mounts and crossmember. A swap into a different chassis usually needs fabrication, and that is on you or your shop to plan.
Driveshaft lengths and axle spline counts on an all wheel drive or rear wheel drive conversion.
Emissions rules where you live. A conversion that is fine in one state is not fine in another, and this is your responsibility rather than ours.
