Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you buy from Haneda Autos, 1345 Monroe Ave NW, Ste 304, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Placing an order means you accept them. Please read the warranty and returns sections before you order.

What we sell

We sell used engines, transmissions, drivetrain parts and pre-owned motorcycles. Every item is a second-hand unit, sold in the condition shown in its photographs. Photographs show the actual unit unless the listing says otherwise. Mileage figures, where given, are as supplied to us and cannot always be independently verified.

Fitment is your responsibility, and we will help

Imported units are not always identical to the US-market version of the same vehicle. Before you order, send us your VIN and trim level and we will tell you what fits, what you may need to transfer across, and what is not included. If you order without checking fitment, a part that does not fit is treated as a change of mind under the returns policy.

Prices and errors

Prices are in US dollars and exclude shipping and any taxes due. We try to keep prices and stock accurate, but listings can contain errors. If we find a material pricing or availability error after you order, we will contact you and you can confirm the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we confirm the order and the unit is allocated to you. Most items are single units, so if something sells before we confirm, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Payment

Payment is taken before dispatch. If you are collecting from Grand Rapids, you pay on collection. If the unit is going by freight, we confirm the freight cost to your ZIP code and take payment before the unit leaves our floor. Nothing ships until the amount is agreed.

Shipping, title and risk

Heavy items ship by freight and are quoted per order. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Title and risk pass to you on delivery, or on collection if you collect. Inspect the item on arrival and note any shipping damage on the carrier paperwork before signing.

Warranty

Used engines and transmissions carry a 90 day warranty from the date of delivery or collection, covering internal mechanical failure of the unit supplied. The warranty does not cover: labour, fluids, diagnostics, towing, loss of use or other consequential costs; damage caused by incorrect installation, overheating, oil starvation, detonation, or continued use after a fault appears; items modified, dismantled or raced; or bolt-on ancillaries supplied with the unit. We ask for proof of professional installation and, where relevant, a fresh timing belt, water pump, gaskets and fluids. Our liability under the warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the price paid for the unit, at our option. Motorcycles and parts sold as accessories are covered only where the listing says so.

Returns and cancellations

See our Returns policy for the full procedure, including the window, restocking charges and how to get a return authorisation. Items must be returned uninstalled, unmodified and with all markings intact. Freight on returns for change of mind is paid by the buyer.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for the item. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including labour, vehicle downtime or lost earnings. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and the courts of Michigan have jurisdiction.
