About this unit
Toyota hybrid front cut, taken complete with the petrol engine, the hybrid transaxle, the orange high voltage cabling, the inverter and the front loom, cut back through the bulkhead with the dash still attached.
High voltage warning. Hybrid components carry lethal voltage. This cut must be handled and installed by someone trained in high voltage systems. Do not cut, probe or disconnect the orange cabling without the correct equipment.
What a half cut is
A half cut is the front section of a donor car removed in one piece: engine, transmission, radiator support, loom, dash and the front body panels, cut back behind the bulkhead. It is the cheapest route when a car needs more than a drivetrain, because the matched parts come together rather than being chased down one at a time.
What you get
Exactly what is in the photographs. Anything not visible in frame is not included. Ask before ordering if you need a specific bracket, sensor or panel.
Sold as seen. Used, uninspected for installation. We turn engines by hand and check for coolant in the oil, scoring and bad seals before listing.
Freight only. A cut this size does not go by parcel carrier. We price freight to your ZIP after you order, or you can collect from Grand Rapids.
Before you order
Send your VIN and what the cut is going into. Imported units are not always identical to the US version of the same car, and on a cut the loom and dash differences matter more than on a bare engine. We will tell you straight what transfers across. Covered by our 90 day warranty on the engine and transmission.
What is included
You receive exactly what is pictured. Engines are supplied as a long block assembly with the components visible in the photos. Accessories such as the alternator, starter, intake manifold or sensors are included only where you can see them on the unit, so check the photographs before ordering and ask us if anything is unclear.
Before you order
- Confirm the engine code against your own vehicle, not just the model year.
- Japanese market units can differ from the US version in intake, loom and sensors.
- Replace the timing components, water pump and seals while the unit is out. It is cheap insurance on an engine this age.
- Keep your original accessories until the swap is finished and running.
