Vehicle Fitment

This transmission is a direct replacement for the following North American 9th Generation models:

  • Honda Accord (Sedan/Coupe): 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

  • Trims: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L (2.4L 4-Cylinder Models)

  • Compatibility Note: This unit is not compatible with the 3.5L V6 (6-speed automatic) or the Hybrid models.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

The K24W CVT is a highly technical unit. To ensure a successful “Plug-and-Play” installation into your USDM Accord, professional installers recommend the following steps:

  1. Transmission Sensors & Solenoids: Inspect the electrical connectors on the JDM unit. If the plug pins or housing shapes differ from your USDM harness, swap your original USDM External Sensors and Solenoids (Input & Output Speed Sensors) onto the JDM case.

  2. Drilling Shifter Bracket: If the shifter is not lining up right, it would need to be adjusted, and the shifter bracket must be drilled making the holes bigger.

  3. CVT Cooler: We highly recommend flushing your vehicle’s Transmission Cooler Lines and radiator before installation. If your previous transmission failed due to overheating or debris, old metal shavings can destroy the new JDM unit instantly.

  4. Fluid Requirements: This transmission REQUIRES Honda HCF-2 CVT Fluid. Use of any other fluid (including older Honda CVT or ATF-DW1) will cause immediate belt slippage and permanent internal damage.

  5. PCM/ECU Reset: After installation, a “CVT Feedback Learning” or “Static Idle Learn” procedure may be required using a professional scan tool to ensure the computer recognizes the new pulley ratios.

What is included

You receive exactly what is pictured. Engines are supplied as a long block assembly with the components visible in the photos. Accessories such as the alternator, starter, intake manifold or sensors are included only where you can see them on the unit, so check the photographs before ordering and ask us if anything is unclear.

Before you order

  • Confirm the engine code against your own vehicle, not just the model year.
  • Japanese market units can differ from the US version in intake, loom and sensors.
  • Replace the timing components, water pump and seals while the unit is out. It is cheap insurance on an engine this age.
  • Keep your original accessories until the swap is finished and running.
