Used automatic transmission removed from a low mileage imported Audi running the 3.2 litre AUK V6, for 2007 and 2008 cars.

Which unit you need

Audi fitted more than one automatic behind this engine depending on whether the car was quattro or front wheel drive. The two are not interchangeable and the bellhousing, mounting and control strategy differ. Send your VIN with the order and we will confirm which unit your car takes and whether this is it, before it leaves the floor.

What you are buying

• The unit as photographed. Torque converter, mounts, sensors and brackets are included only where you can see them in the pictures.

• Fluid and filter are not included. Fill with the correct Audi specification fluid on installation. These boxes are sensitive to the wrong fluid.

• Adaptation after fitting. Expect to need a transmission adaptation reset with a scan tool once installed, so the box relearns shift points.

What is included

You receive exactly what is pictured. Engines are supplied as a long block assembly with the components visible in the photos. Accessories such as the alternator, starter, intake manifold or sensors are included only where you can see them on the unit, so check the photographs before ordering and ask us if anything is unclear.

Before you order

• Confirm the engine code against your own vehicle, not just the model year.
• Japanese market units can differ from the US version in intake, loom and sensors.
• Replace the timing components, water pump and seals while the unit is out. It is cheap insurance on an engine this age.
• Keep your original accessories until the swap is finished and running.
