About this unit
The AUK is Audi’s 3.2 litre naturally aspirated V6 with direct injection, fitted to the B7 A4 and C6 A6 through 2007 and 2008. Aluminium block, chain driven camshafts, roughly 255 horsepower in US trim.
What matters on this engine
The timing chains sit at the gearbox end. Replacing them means pulling the engine, so chain and tensioner condition is the single most important thing on a used AUK. Ours are inspected before they are listed.
Carbon on the intake valves is normal. Direct injection means no fuel washes over the back of the valves. If you are fitting this engine, clean the intake side while it is out of the car. It is an hour of work on the bench and a day of work once it is installed.
Ancillaries vary by unit. What is bolted on is what you see in the photographs. Intake, injectors, coils, brackets and sensors differ between donor cars. Do not assume a part is included unless it is in the picture.
Before you order
The A4 and the A6 share the AUK code but differ in sump, mounting and accessory layout. Send your VIN and we will confirm this unit against your car before anything ships. Covered by our 90 day warranty.
What is included
You receive exactly what is pictured. Engines are supplied as a long block assembly with the components visible in the photos. Accessories such as the alternator, starter, intake manifold or sensors are included only where you can see them on the unit, so check the photographs before ordering and ask us if anything is unclear.
Before you order
- Confirm the engine code against your own vehicle, not just the model year.
- Japanese market units can differ from the US version in intake, loom and sensors.
- Replace the timing components, water pump and seals while the unit is out. It is cheap insurance on an engine this age.
- Keep your original accessories until the swap is finished and running.
