  • XV50 Generation: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Toyota Camry (L, LE, SE, XLE)

  • Emissions Compliance: Fits Federal (Tier 2) and California Emissions (PZEV/ULEV II).

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure a “Plug and Play” experience and prevent any OBD-II codes (Check Engine Light), follow these swap requirements when installing a JDM engine into a USDM Camry:

  • Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must reuse your original USDM intake and exhaust manifolds. JDM versions often lack the specific vacuum ports or EGR/Smog configurations required for US emissions.

  • Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft Sensors, Crankshaft Sensor, and Knock Sensors to the JDM block.

  • Wiring Harness & ECU: Always use your vehicle’s original USDM wiring harness and Engine Control Unit (ECU).

  • Important Note For 2010 – 2011 Toyota Camry Years: You Must Swap Timing Cover/Components for these years as they did not come with Electric Steering.

You receive exactly what is pictured. Engines are supplied as a long block assembly with the components visible in the photos. Accessories such as the alternator, starter, intake manifold or sensors are included only where you can see them on the unit, so check the photographs before ordering and ask us if anything is unclear.

Before you order

  • Confirm the engine code against your own vehicle, not just the model year.
  • Japanese market units can differ from the US version in intake, loom and sensors.
  • Replace the timing components, water pump and seals while the unit is out. It is cheap insurance on an engine this age.
  • Keep your original accessories until the swap is finished and running.
